Ces catamarans passionnent par leur vitesse et les sensations qu’ils offrent. Les modèles les plus connus sont les Hobie Cat, les Dart ou encore les Nacra. On retrouve ce type de voilier une nouvelle fois principalement dans les écoles de voile mais ils peuvent aussi s’illustrer dans des compétitions par leur rapidité et leur grande maniabilité. D’autres, plus modestement s’en servent comme voilier de raid.
Le Day-Boat : le voilier pur plaisir
Le Day-boat est le voilier plaisir par excellence. Simple à mettre à l’eau dès que l’envie nous vient, il est très apprécié par les amateurs de voile. Plus imposants que les dériveurs et plus stables, ces voiliers ont été imaginés pour les vacanciers souhaitant un trajet paisible en pleine journée. Si certains de ces bateaux vont vous permettre de naviguer en famille, le temps d’une journée d’autres vont être beaucoup plus sport.
Le voilier habitable : une maison flottante
Le voilier habitable de croisière à une longueur de 8 à 18 mètres en moyenne. Il est conçu pour des croisières d’une semaine ou plus et est donc habilité pour être habitable. Cette catégorie de voiliers est vaste. Certains voiliers de 8 mètres vous permettront de naviguer sereinement, le temps d’une croisière en famille, sur le littoral breton. D’autres voiliers de 10 mètres vous permettront d’envisager des traversées vers la Corse, la Manche, voire des transatlantiques à partir d’unités de plus de 11 mètres.
